Nelly Burns is the President of Burns Accounting Inc. and a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor with over 19 years of experience helping business owners simplify their finances. With a strong educational background—including an A.A. in Business Information Systems, a B.A. in Liberal Studies, a Bilingual Teaching Credential, and a Graduate Certificate in Accountancy—she brings a unique blend of financial expertise and teaching skills to her clients.
Her journey began in 2006 when she launched her first bookkeeping business while becoming a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. This dual role allowed her to combine her passion for numbers with her ability to teach, leading to the development of a dedicated client base.
After relocating to Colorado in 2014, Nelly founded Burns Accounting Inc., focusing on empowering business owners and non-profit organizations with the knowledge and confidence to master QuickBooks. She offers tailored solutions, individualized training, and expert guidance on transitioning from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, ensuring businesses maintain properly structured financial records for insightful reporting.
Nelly’s approach is flexible and accessible, offering both remote and in-person consultations. Her office, located at the Colorado Welcome Center in Cortez, Colorado, also serves as a hub for group trainings in QuickBooks, business fundamentals, and budgeting.
